Hello, nice to meet you.
My name is Jason Platt, and I am an illustrator based out of Moline (where?), Illinois. I've long been an admirer of illustrators even before I realized what illustration was. I just knew what I liked. As a kid, going through, magazines, books or even ads, I found myself finding specific pieces of art that I would like to spend time looking at. As time went on I realized that I would find the same signatures, or styles, over and over. Rockwell, McQuarrie, Drucker or Struzan were my favorites. I can't tell you why I loved looking at their pieces, but they were exciting to me. I loved to be drawn into their work and being immediately transported into the story they were telling in within their brush strokes. I was one of those kids who bought a book for the cover, and I'll admit... I still do sometimes.
Eventually time went on and I needed to decide what I wanted to do with my life. And I chose the ever popular choice of all parents: an artist. I've graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design where I majored in (you guessed it) illustration.
So, you pretty much know 'all' about me.
Now I feel as though I can finally share with you some of my pieces of work.
